Our Approach

The Helix instructional system is built entirely in-house and customized to your child’s needs. This allows for a dynamic and adaptable approach to your child’s learning. We do not use off-the-shelf programs or prepackaged systems of instruction. Our treatment plans fit your child, not the other way around. It takes substantially more time, effort, and skill to do it this way…but the payoff is worth it when it comes to your child’s progress.

Our therapeutic approach uses positive behavior strategies to make learning exciting and meaningful. We focus on real skills that our clients can use outside of the therapy session. Each of our clinic locations allows us to vary the learning environment to keep your child engaged and excited to learn. Your child will always have a 1-on-1 therapist and will alternate between individual and group settings throughout the day. Learning flows between structured and unstructured scenarios in which the therapist and client take turns leading the activity.

We strongly encourage parents to attend therapy sessions and parent training sessions. We have an open-door policy – all we require is that you’re ready to jump in with us to make learning fun and meaningful. Put simply, we will provide as much training as you can handle. This gives your child the best chance at fulfilling their potential.

We accept clients from 1.5 to 18 years old. Our staff specializes in different phases of skill development from early language skills to advanced academic concepts. We also serve Spanish speaking-only families.
